concrete + sugarcane is formulated, directed and discerned by me, dorneka - a visual creator, practitioner and myth maker of Black British Caribbean heritage ( specifically from the Eastern Caribbean islands of St Kitts, Nevis and Montserrat) + (the North of England; West and South Yorkshire).

As a link in the chain, the works here are produced from my own personal reflection, contemplation and practitioner conduct, alongside that of the spirits that feed me, the world that shows me things, and the people I come from, stand with and learn from (who will be named when indirectly or directly referenced).
